Aware of the scarcity of certain raw materials, Cofinimmo began
to think about the life cycle of the buildings in its portfolio
and how to apply the principles of the circular economy more
effectively: reusing or repairing before demolishing, sorting
waste, and reclaiming it by recycling.
In 2015,
16.2 tons
of materials were
recovered
before demolition
during several redevelopment projects. As part of rental refittings,
4,445 m² of recycled carpet was placed.
